Dr. Joanne Keenan is board certified in internal medicine and has been
active in her field for more than 13 years. She received her doctor of
osteopathy at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2001.
Dr. Keenan completed field medical services school in 2002 at the Marine
Corps Base at Camp Pendelton and then completed her internal medicine
residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2006.
Dr. Keenan has spent years working with U.S troops—she was the general
medical officer at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton from 2002-2004.
She was the department head and staff physician at the U.S. Naval Hospital
in Guam until 2008 and then was a staff physician at the Naval Medical
Center San Diego and the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in San Diego
in 2013, until Dr. Keenan went into private practice.
She is affiliated with the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California,
and a member of the the American Osteopathic Association and the American
College of Physicians.
