DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PLAN FOR THOSE WHO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE, CAREGIVERS

If you require assistance for daily living or are a caregiver, there are additional preparations required in case of a disaster. Julie Jeakle, emergency services coordinator for San Diego County, will be lecturing on this topic on Friday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at Alvarado Hospital.

The free lecture includes a disaster preparedness plan, which includes a caregivers' booklet, evacuation checklist and preparedness tips. Light refreshments will be served and registration is required. To register for the one-hour lecture, call Mary Williams at (619) 229-7362 (you can leave a voicemail message) or e-mail her.

The lecture will be held in the first floor conference room of Alvarado Hospital's West Tower, 6645 Alvarado Road, San Diego 92120. Free parking is available in the hospital's parking structure and there is a metro stop across the street from the hospital on the green line.

"Disaster Preparedness Plan for People Who Need Assistance and Theire Caregivers" is presented by the San Diego County of Emergency Services.
