Orthopedic Surgery



Alvarado Hospital offers a full spectrum of orthopedic care from diagnosis and treatment to surgery and rehabilitation. Using advanced diagnostic tools and a specially equipped operating room, an interdisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons and nurses treat conditions of the spine, joints, feet, and upper and lower extremities.
 
Our surgeons use arthroscopic techniques for shoulder reconstruction, knee repair, tendon transfers, and to treat wrist, elbow and ankle problems. Comprehensive rehabilitation services are offered through our San Diego Rehabilitation Institute on the Alvarado Hospital campus.
 
Alvarado Hospital is pleased to offer total joint repair and replacement services under the direction of nationally renowned surgeons. Our physicians are among those developing innovative techniques in joint replacement and hold patents on many of these advances. In addition, our physicians continue to lecture internationally, perform live surgical demonstrations, publish books and peer-reviewed articles, and participate in nationwide clinical trials.
